Wildlife Exclusion & Control

Crawl Space Rodent and Wildlife Exclusion

Living in the beautiful Northwest, we have to deal with pests that more than bug us- they can infest our homes, cause structural damage, and create health hazards. Once your crawlspace is cleaned and restored, it is vital to keep pests and wildlife out. We use proven methods of wildlife exclusion.

Crawl Space Clean Up

Failure to properly clean up your crawlspace after a rodent or wildlife infestation can lead to a myriad of problems. The urine and feces will begin to emit a nasty odor, especially during the warmer months. This odor can travel throughout your home, and even outside depending on how severe the infestation is and the duration of time it goes unaddressed. Furthermore, the feces and urine can cause bacterial issues making the crawlspace a contaminated and unsafe area. Another health concern is heating and air conditioning duct lines commonly running through the crawlspace which can pull contaminated air from the crawlspace into the live area of a home. We encourage you to contact Pioneer Pest Management for any crawl space repairs you need. We have extensive training and are equipped to clean, sanitize and repair your crawlspace after a rodent or wildlife infestation, and will help you and your family stay healthy and safe.

Pioneer Pest Management’s Crawl Space Rodent and Wildlife Cleanup Service is guaranteed to have that area looking like new again. We will begin by bagging up nesting materials, debris, rodent and wildlife corpses, and other contaminated items in the crawlspace. Next, all pier posts, foundation sill plates and duct lines will be inspected, and fecal droppings and other debris will be removed. Then damaged insulation will be pulled and bagged up. Finally, the damage vapor barrier is removed. Bagging the contaminated items in the crawlspace repair area before removing them prevents the spread of contaminants.

If the crawl space access is located on the interior of a structure, a containment tunnel is erected from the crawlspace opening to an exterior door. This allows us to safely carry the contaminated item from the crawlspace through a home to the outdoors without contaminating the home’s interior.

Crawl Space Wildlife Control

Wildlife that takes up quarters in a home will quickly turn into a nuisance. A home’s crawlspace offers an ideal location for these critters to set up a nest for their babies. Their presence in the home can be disheartening when homeowners find the destruction they cause. The need for a wildlife control expert will be evident as the smell of their urine and feces penetrates the home’s family space. These experts will assess the damage and check out if these little visitors have decided to redecorate their new crawlspace. Besides contaminating the area with excrement, wildlife may tear down the air ducts and extricate the subfloor’s insulation for their own purposes.

The Importance of Crawl Space Wildlife Exclusion

These wild critters are not averse to securing more territory to nest, especially if they have started to multiply. As the crawlspace gets crowded, they’ll start moving into other areas of the house. The time to call for help with wildlife control is now. If the amount of wildlife roaming around the property is increasing, a wildlife control team needs to examine your property.

Exclusion involves preventing animals and pests from moving into other areas of the home by physically restricting their access, and is an effective method to prevent wildlife from taking over the house.
